In a November 2012 lab measurement of an earlier Smart & Safe air-tube headset, the electric field was measured at a point the report labels "Base – 1cm" and again at the earpiece, during a call, with five phones, with the test door closed and open.

With the door closed, the earpiece reading was lower for all five phones; with the door open, two phones (Nokia, LG) read higher at the earpiece. These are electric-field readings from an older model and older phones, not SAR or health measurements, and the test did not compare against regular wired earphones. Smart & Safe products are not medical devices and make no health claims.

How does an air-tube headset work?
A small speaker sits in a unit lower on the cable. Sound travels the last part of the way to your ears through hollow silicone tubes, so there are no wires or speakers in the earpieces.
Will it work with my phone?
It uses a standard 3.5 mm plug. Phones without a headphone jack need a USB-C or Lightning to 3.5 mm adapter.
Can I take calls?
Yes. There is a built-in microphone with an answer and end call button.
